In a word– awesome.  This Wi-Fi detector t-shirt displays the wireless strength in your location at all times.  While this t-shirt is more novelty than utility, it makes techs like ourselves itch with want.  While this is understandably more pricey than a standard t-shirt, you get quite a lot for thirty bucks.  The shirt includes a battery pack, the animated decal (which is removable for washing),  and it runs for hours on 3 AAA batteries.  Personally, we’d love to see something like this on a watch, say the 2GB USB memory watch, or something else that is a little more subtle than rocking it on your sleeve.  But still, this is geek couture at its best!

In honor of the Wired NextFest, and all the trippy robots, androids, and other artificial life forms we saw, we present what we believe could be the very first attempt to make nice with artificial lifeforms via a t-shirt. Welcome the machines, they only want to be our friends. Right? RIGHT?

Whether you agree with the sentiment or not, you have to admit this Mistake Tee is a fine tool to upset the apple cart wherever you find yourselve surrounded by grim, humorless ding-dongs who want to impose their lifestyles on you. Remember that old Men At Work lyric? “It’s a misssstaaaaaaakkkkkeeeee”. Yeah. If your best friend is marrying some horrible cow who hates you, show up to the rehearsal in this and fly your flag high. At worst, you’ll never see your best friend again, but that was going to happen anyway.

Threadspot.com reports on an interesting development in Chicago; a t-shirt store that’s evolved from a website. While that evolution is not new, the Threadless effort to combine web 2.0 with their first brick-and-mortar site is a success. The Threadspot quote that says it all? “While Threadless Chicago is a t-shirt store, it also feels like a high technology environment.” Now that, we definitely like. More high tech shopping, please. Once they get round to combining the technology with the t-shirts, the circle will be complete. USB flash drive tank tops, anyone?

Conchords is the story of two New Zealand transplants hoping to make it big with their demented digi-folk songs. We only mention this in case somebody out there is living in a cave and hasn’t caught Conchordmania yet… If in case you haven’t, here’s one of our favorite clips thanks to YouTube.
