Wi-Fi Detector T-Shirt

Monday, October 8, 2007 8:22AM - By Mike Payne

In a word– awesome.  This Wi-Fi detector t-shirt displays the wireless strength in your location at all times.  While this t-shirt is more novelty than utility, it makes techs like ourselves itch with want.  While this is understandably more pricey than a standard t-shirt, you get quite a lot for thirty bucks.  The shirt includes a battery pack, the animated decal (which is removable for washing),  and it runs for hours on 3 AAA batteries.  Personally, we’d love to see something like this on a watch, say the 2GB USB memory watch, or something else that is a little more subtle than rocking it on your sleeve.  But still, this is geek couture at its best!

Sprechen Sie Droid?

So many ‘bots to meet, so little time! In honor of the Wired NextFest, and all the trippy robots, androids, and other artificial life forms we saw, we present what we believe could be the very first attempt to make nice with artificial lifeforms via a t-shirt. Welcome the machines, they only want to be our friends. Right? RIGHT?

Crass, Rude, And Absolutely Priceless

It's A MISSSTAAAAKE

Whether you agree with the sentiment or not, you have to admit this Mistake Tee is a fine tool to upset the apple cart wherever you find yourselve surrounded by grim, humorless ding-dongs who want to impose their lifestyles on you. Remember that old Men At Work lyric? “It’s a misssstaaaaaaakkkkkeeeee”. Yeah. If your best friend is marrying some horrible cow who hates you, show up to the rehearsal in this and fly your flag high. At worst, you’ll never see your best friend again, but that was going to happen anyway.

T-Shirt Heaven: Threadless Openes Chi-Town Store

Tuesday, September 11, 2007 8:56AM - By J. Wallace

Threadless Shirts!

Threadspot.com reports on an interesting development in Chicago; a t-shirt store that’s evolved from a website. While that evolution is not new, the Threadless effort to combine web 2.0 with their first brick-and-mortar site is a success. The Threadspot quote that says it all? “While Threadless Chicago is a t-shirt store, it also feels like a high technology environment.” Now that, we definitely like. More high tech shopping, please. Once they get round to combining the technology with the t-shirts, the circle will be complete. USB flash drive tank tops, anyone?

Miss Teen South Carolina Speech T-Shirt

Tuesday, September 4, 2007 9:42AM - By Mike Payne

Leave it to BustedTees to catch this one right away. Everyone’s favorite pageant genius’ speech is now immortalized on cotton. The Miss Teen South Carolina t-shirt includes the now famous speech about U.S. Americans, The Iraq, and maps. If you haven’t seen the Miss Teen South Carolina’s tard fumble on Youtube yet, go sit in the corner. If so, say it loud- and say it proud:

“I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don’t have maps, and, uh, I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq everywhere like, such as and I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., er, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children.”

Ahh, our new national anthem. Check out the shirt at BustedTees.com.

Flight Of The Conchords T-Shirt Mania

Wednesday, August 29, 2007 8:24AM - By J. Wallace

Conchords is the story of two New Zealand transplants hoping to make it big with their demented digi-folk songs. We only mention this in case somebody out there is living in a cave and hasn’t caught Conchordmania yet… If in case you haven’t, here’s one of our favorite clips thanks to YouTube. Take ten minutes out of your day and watch. Don’t worry, we’ve already ok’d it with your boss.

It's Business Time!

Thanks to NerdyShirts, the classic Conchords songs have been immortalized on a cotton canvas. The hilarious Business Time t-shirt has landed, here for you, and we feel its worth celebrating.

Here are the lyrics for the Flight of the Conchords song Business Time. Just try and resist getting one of the shirts after reading this:

I take off my clothes
But I trip over my jeans ’cause I’m still wearing my shoes
But it’s okay because I turn it all into a sexy dance.
The next thing you know I’m wearing absolutely nothing
Except for my socks
And you know when I’m down to my socks what time it
It’s business time
It’s business
It’s business time

Buy the Business Time T-shirt for $20.

If you haven’t already picked up your own copy of the Flight of the Conchords: Season One, pick up yours now!  You’ll thank us later.

Be The First McLovin On The Block: The SuperBad T-Shirt

Monday, August 20, 2007 8:04AM - By J. Wallace

You know you want this one. The hottest movie of the year doesn’t have any giant frickin’ robots, Bruce Willis, or alien invaders. It does have so many laughs that you wind up missing a good chunk of the movie. You can’t get Superbad shirts on the official movie site yet, so when you get your McLovin on, everyone will want to know where the hell you found these awesome shirts. Of course, you’re going to need to see the flick again to see what you missed when you were lauging your ass off the first time.

T-Shirt Of The Day: The Disney Che Guevara

Sunday, August 12, 2007 10:05AM - By J. Wallace

Che-Mickey Shirt

Like Sid Vicious, Ernesto “Che” Guevara has gone from being a mere famous name to cultural meme. That means nobody remembers what he was really famous for, they just buy the shirts. This tee skewers all that, and Disney at the same time! Is that really Che’s face, or is that Dave “Foo Fighters” Grohl?
