Porsche’s foray into consumer-products-as-auto-branding has not failed to impress, and their latest release is no exception. The Porsche Design P’9120 Desk Radio as built by Eton includes an iPod dock and receivers for AM/FM/ShortWave and Digitally Broadcast (DAB) radio. Its design sets it apart from other desktop radios, featuring a cubic base with three circular speakers that promise an aurally friendly reproduction of your favorite tunes. If you’re new to Porsche Design, its worth your time to head on over and give them a good look… [thanks jalopnik]

This radio is a survivalists wet dream. Beyond its extensive radio capabilities (AM/FM/ShortWave and NOAA), the Eton FR1000 Voicelink Radio is designed to keep you and your gadgets running in a pinch. Aside from the AA battery and AC adapter power sources, this radio can be alternately powered by a rechargeable Ni-MH battery which can be juiced by that hand crank on the right. Just a few turns of that crank and this radio will be rocking (and its bright LED lamp will be shining). What’s more, the FR1000 has a USB connection which will extend that manual power source to your USB-capable gadgetry– your mobile phone, your pda, your digital camera. Whether you’re on a high-adventure wilderness trip or a campout with the guys, the FR1000 can keep you informed and well-lit and your gadgets juiced and happy.
