TagHeuer Monaco Series: Steve McQueen Approved
The Tag Heuer Monaco series is basically too cool for words. The original Monaco race track is a legend among race car drivers, and Tag Heuer designed the very first Monaco watch in 1969 in tribute to its high-speed thrills. Steve McQueen wore one of these in the 1970 film Grand Prix, something Tag Heuer is righfully proud of. The Monaco series includes the one pictured here, and several other versions including an update for the digital age (but we don’t think it looks as badass as this.) No matter which one you prefer, this is a top-drawer timepiece and a reminder that once upon a time, auto racing was viewed as a tough guy sport instead of a tobacco-chawin’ southern-fried good time.
