The 2008 Olympics in Beijing spurned its fair share of new technologies and fashions alike.  The new tech swim suits worn by Michael Phelps and others helped shatter world records, while the success of Olympian Usain Bolt inspired infatuation with the sneakers he wore across the finish line.  Nike has released their own special edition sneakers, the Nike Air Force One “Closing Ceremony”, inspired by the recent Olympics.  These fresh, gold kicks are detailed with traditional Asian illustrations and the familiar Nike swoosh.  They’re tough to come by, don’t expect to get your hands on a pair of these for under $500.  At time of publishing, the best Ebay listing for the Nike Air Force One “Closing Ceremony” kicks was just over $300…  Good luck, GearCravers!

Bid: from $300
