With summer half over (I know, I’m not excited about it either), we’re still far behind on our personal promise of a monthly camping trip.  To jump start our adventure, we need a new mobile habitat to test out.  After plenty of scanning, we’ve determined that REI’s private branded camping gear is actually quite well put together.  The REI Base Camp 6 Tent, as shown above, is a basic dome tent with a fitted rain fly and entryway.  Through rain, snow and sleet, the Base Camp 6 tent will keep you dry and free from summer storms and winter winds.  For now, our eyes are on the ventilation architecture.  The mesh fabric on the main tent and heat exhaust holes on the rain fly will keep you from overheating in these hotter months…
