Sony HDR-SR7 Hard Disk Video Recorder
Friday, November 2, 2007 9:37AM - By J. Wallace

The wireless revolution is already here, so why not go tapeless too? Sony’s HDR-SR7 records directly to a 60-gig hard drive. No more tapes to buy, no playback heads to clean, and best of all, no more boxes of old tapes to sift through after you’ve shot a year’s worth of footage or so. It records and plays back in both HD and standard mode. There’s also a memory stick slot for stills, and it has a 2.7 inch viewscreen that lets you view in 16:9. Shooting options include a super nightshot mode letting you shoot with infrared up to ten feet away. It’s not technically the holiday shopping season yet, but there’s no law against getting an early present, is there?
