The Blackberry Pearl 8220: Now Flipping (er, shipping…)

The Blackberry Pearl Flip Phone (the 8220) is officially on the street today for a buck fifty. That $150 gets you Blackberry’s first flip phone via T-Mobile, but not without a two-year contract. As we mentioned before, we’re not totally sold on the Blackberry flip concept, and we’re not certain that consumers will dig it either. What’s a Blackberry without a QWERTY keypad? Sure, the original Pearl was popular, but a BB without a full keypad is like an iPhone without a touch screen. Pretty pointless… [t-mobile]
