Medion GoPal: Personal Navigation Device With Fingerprint Anti-Theft Feature
Wednesday, December 5, 2007 8:15AM - By J. Wallace
The German company Medion has announced the GoPal P4425 Personal Navigation Device, which is claimed to be the first ever to feature a fingerprint sensor, allowing operation only by an authorized user. Five fingerprints can be stored in the GoPal, which has a four-inch touch screen, Bluetooth, GPS connectivity, text-to-speech and more. This is a great idea, and while it won’t prevent a clueless thief from smashing your window and stealing it anyway, imagine the look on the dumbass’s face when he can’t get it to work right. This one is available in “select markets” but could go wide any time.
