With Apple’s iPhone now an on-the-market reality, everyone is glancing at both their cell phones and iPods, wondering whether it’s time to take the plunge and buy the new $500 dollar temptation. Take this quiz to see whether or not you should fork over half a grand:
1. My iPod:
a) dies an hour after I start using it.
b) still has that goofy plastic tape screenguard attached
c) is covered in peanut butter
2. My cell phone is:
a) covered in scratches. I’m clumsy
b) a Motorola KRZR
c) floating at the bottom of the swimming pool
3. My mp3 collection:
a) includes Gang of Four, Justin Timberlake, Sparklehorse, and Audioslave. I’m eclectic.
b) kicks ass, dude. I have more music than the Library of Congress.
c) is mostly at home, because I am too busy gabbing on the phone to bother transferring it over to my iPod.
4. My iPod ear buds are:
a) covered in nasty ear gunk.
b) still in the iPod box.
c) shorted out because I sweat too much.
5. I use my cell phone:
a) at least as much as I use my iPod.
b) to agitate bees and annoy people in public restrooms.
c) far too much. I have some kind of freakish growth on the side of my head.
Answer key:
Mostly “A” answers? Get the iPhone.
Mostly “B” answers? You are a raging technophobe. Go join a monastery already.
Mostly “C” Answers? You probably need to get a social life, but get the iPhone anyway. You’re a power user.

Genius! It looks like I fail the test though. Regardless, I don’t have $500 to spend on that thing in the first place… Great article.
