Hitachi’s DZ-BD70A Blu-Ray Camcorder will capture up to an hour of full HD video on a single-sided Blu-ray disc. The DZ-BD70A packs a 5.3MP CMOS image sensor and a HD lens system. It also has an SD slot for 4.3MP stills. This is all quite Crave-worthy, but the dilemma is you can spend about $100 more and get the Hybridcam edition (pictured above) of this camera which includes a 30GB hard disk, giving you the option of recording to Blu-Ray or the internal drive. With the Hybrid you can do up to four hours of 1920×1080 video or eight hours of 1440×1080 video. Which to choose? For our money the extra $100 is well worth the hard drive option, but we haven’t played with this one yet, so we’re judging by specs only.
Buy for $994.95 or Buy the Hybrid for $1079.00
