There are just two more full business days until Christmas. Sure, this may mean nothing to those people who are insane enough to go to the malls this weekend, but we know our readers are smarter than that. Two full business days means that Cravers have to get their online shopping orders placed and shipped by mid-day Friday, December 21st. But where should you start? GearCrave has some last minute tips on where to buy and what to do so you don’t come up empty-handed on Christmas. Continue reading below!

Where to Buy

Two business days means two shipping days. So if you purchase by mid-day tomorrow, you’ll need to order next-day shipping to get your gifts on the go. Our first destination is “old faithful”, where you can find just about any gift for just about any recipient. Of course, we mean Amazon.

Amazon Toy List

Each year, Amazon puts together an exhaustive holiday toy list for discovering great games and toys for your friends and family. You’ll find a lot more than just trinkets and toys for the eight-and-unders, Amazon’s list has fun for your generation as well. Rock Band? Super Mario Galaxy? The Wilson Wave Basketball? Okay, we want all this stuf for ourselves!

All Business Center

What about your boss? Your colleague? Your client? You have to cover all bases on the holidays, especially those who you spend your 9-5 with. Amazon’s all business center has great deals on business electronics, office supplies, furniture, and other biz needs. While this may not seem like the most fun gift, your buddy running his own small business will be more than grateful. As for your boss and colleague, you’ll find some fun cubicle and office toys above that will get them laughing (and thinking about you when they see your gift on their desk).

More Great Shopping Sites

  • While Amazon is a great all-in-one-place reliable shopping resource, there are a few others you may want to check out for last minute gifts.
    • Walmart.com. If Amazon doesn’t have it, Walmart will. Check out Walmart’s rotating ad for “get it by Dec. 24th”.
    • ThinkGeek.com. For the nerd in your life, ThinkGeek has it. We like to think of ourselves as more Sean Connery than Bill Gates, but we still love ThinkGeek!
    • NewEgg.com. For electronics, computers, TVs, and iPods, we prefer NewEgg over BestBuy and CircuitCity ANY day.
    • ShopBop.com. If you’re looking for something lavish for your lady, ShopBop is the best place to shop online. Bring a heavy wallet…
    • BlueNile.com. If you messed up good this holiday season, and messed up in a “rock-worthy” way, BlueNile has you covered.
    • OmahaSteaks.com. Steaks? Why not! Send Grandpa a steak.
  • If you strike out at all of the retailers above, there are a few resources you can check for last minute deals that we recommend.
    • DealNews.com. If its lusty and low-priced, DealNews covers it. You can find nearly anything tipped there for super low prices.
    • LA.Cityzine.com. Earlier this month, our sister blog put together a killer list on where to shop online for holiday gifts. This is a must read.

    If You Miss the Deadline

If you miss the shipping deadlines of Amazon and others, you’re screwed. Well actually, no you’re not. There is still “analog” shopping, where you can go to the stores and fight your way through crouds of crazed shoppers. However, you’re not out of options just yet.

    • Gift Cards. Treat ‘em to a pre-paid gift card via Visa and others. It may not arrive on time, but you can at least give up the number or share the confirmation print-out.
    • Buy them intangibles.
      • Buy a domain name: run on over to Godaddy and buy their name dot com as a gift.
      • Make a donation in their name. Just not to the human fund (money for people).
      • Buy a star, name it after them. Hurry before they run out of stock!
      • Buy a call from a washed up celebrity. (sweet! the soup nazi is on here!)
    • Whatever you do, just don’t give them cash…

Happy holidays, GearCravers. We hope you’ve found your friends and family what they want for this holiday. If you haven’t yet found that perfect gift, lets hope this shopping guide helps save the day.
