In our opinion, there is no greater threat to the portable media player industry than the Apple iPhone.  An 8GB iPhone can hold a whole lot of media data, from mp3s to feature-length films.  For those of us who don’t own an iPhone, or those of us who want our iPhone to remain a phone, first and foremost, there have been a few cool advancements in the PMP industry.  Specifically, the Cowon P5 touchscreen PMP.  This recently announced PMP features a 5″ touchscreen lcd to control either 60GB or 80GB of your personal media.  Mount this on the dash in your car, bring it with you on an intercontinental flight, hide it under the table in your next boring board room meeting.  If you want to dedicate your iPhone or smart phone to its intended use, the Cowon P5 makes a nice side-arm…
