AVmap Breathalyzer Equipped GPS
Wednesday, August 20, 2008 8:00AM - By Joseph Penalver
For years, law enforcement has tried to get drunk drivers off the street. Now, with the help of GPS navigation, their job might be a little easier. Even though breathalyzers are not the norm in GPS units, some companies are starting to incorporate them into their stand alone units. AVmap has released the Geosat 6 Drive Safe navigator, a 4.8-inch touchscreen GPS unit with built-in Bluetooth, text-to-speech capability and most importantly– the ability to help determine if you’re ready to drive. No word on a price just yet, and unfortunately it is looking like these will only be available in Europe… We sure could use it stateside. [thanks coolest-gadgets]
