Over the weekend, GearCrave reader Dave S. (and Seattle, Washington resident) asked us about bluetooth-enabled car stereos.  If you have any questions for GearCrave like Dave S. did, let us know and we’ll seek out the right gear for you.

If you’re in California or Washington, you have just six days until you’ll be ticketed for driving while talking on a handset mobile phone. You’re joining five other states that have statewide bans, plus many others like Illinois who have partial bans (in the Chicago area, for example). If you want to stay safe, stay legal and avoid hefty fees, fortunately you can upgrade your car media environment at the same time. The Parrot RK8200 Bluetooth-Enable Car Stereo System will connect with your cell phone via bluetooth and become a hands-free speakerphone system when you’re on the road. It’ll also connect with your iPod, thumb drive and other media systems. That lcd display will show helps you navigate not only through your music, but your contact book as well. We’ll be covering a few more hands-free systems for you CA/WA residents in the next few days, but this one is our clear favorite to start.

Buy: $280

Anyone know when this will be released in the US? They originally said Q2 2008, now I hear it’s Q3, but is there any more precise info. RK8200 was announced in Sept 2007…what is the problem?
