Apple has unveiled the next big thing: the Apple iTouch iPod. It features a touchscreen, wi-fi capability with built-in Safari and YouTube, plus access to iTunes direct from the iTouch without a computer. Gizmodo.com reports the iTouch having “22 hours of battery playing music, 5 hours of video and two sizes 8 and 16GB for $299 and $399.”

Other extras include access to the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store when you are at Starbucks thanks to an unholy alliance between Apple and The World’s Largest Drug Dealer ™. Reports of some Starbucks weenus talking up the connection between low-grade stimulant highs from coffee and Wi-Fi music
cause us to scoff and make Mike Patton faces, but you WILL be able to get iTunes access, that lovely “gotta have it now” urge is finally satified right there in the iPod with no waiting. Apparently when you bring an iTouch near a Starbucks, the iTunes store will display a 666, no, rather, a Starbucks icon allowing you to buy songs playing on the ‘Bucks music selection and other bells-n-whistles. Whoopeee.
Stay tuned for another post with more Apple iPod news and such. All photos courtesy of Gizmodo.com except for the Mike “Mister Bungle” Patton pic, courtesty Undercover.com.au. Big thanks to Gizmodo.com for the hookup.
