Back in December, GearCrave published one of our most popular articles yet, How to Buy Your Own Private Island. In our research, we had the pleasure to speak with Maldivian photographer Ahmed Zahid, a very talented and friendly individual who shares the beauty, the life and the culture of the Maldives in his photographs. Picture after picture, we grew an affinity for this tiny archipelago far off the coast of India. The Maldives includes almost 1,200 islands, under a quarter of which are inhabited. The Maldives are dotted with luxurious hotels and spas, amazing beaches and sunsets every night that look like works of art. The people are vibrant and friendly, the seafood is divine. If you really want to get away, far away from the grind, we suggest a very long weekend in the Maldives. More pics after the jump.
