GearCrave Poll: Nintendo E3 News

Nintendo had a big news day today at the 2008 E3 Convention in Los Angeles. Nintendo released news about Shaun White Snowboarding, a game that uses the Wii Fit board as a controller; Animal Crossing, a Sims-like game for the Wii; Wii Speak, a mic system for chat; Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, with Wii light saber action, Grand Theft Auto China Town Wars, for the DS; Wii Sports Resort, Wii Music and more. I’ve been a supporter of the Wii for awhile, but the E3 announcements seem pretty lame to me (with the exception of the Star Wars lightsaber game). I feel kinda let down.

it’s nintendo, i felt since the n64 days that it is a system that is most fun played with a group. ‘party’ if i may be so bold to say, i think it’s a great system for ‘party’ style games, mario party, mario kart, just for starters. i enjoy my games, from visual sexiness to pure happy fun time, hence why i own a wii and ps3, i would of bought a xbox360, but the first killer for me was the lack of backwards compatibility for xbox games. getting back to the point, my feelings is that nintendo hasn’t been intending to compete on the visual level for a reason, you let the two ‘big dogs’ fight it out over the prize (console world domination), and wait, when they are beaten up and tired, BAM! ZOOM! POW! nintendo strikes and now rules. just like that, nintendo rules…
