GearCrave Giveaway: Vittorio J Designer Neckties (x5)

Wednesday, August 27, 2008 12:58PM - By Mike Payne

Business and formalwear, from the suit to the tuxedo, have changed little over the years.  We as men have little opportunities for expression with our suits– we pick a few nice suits, sportcoats and dress shirts and stick to them.  If there is one accessory that does allow for expression, it is the necktie.  There are neckties to fit the ocassion, to compliment your outfit and to match your date’s dress.  The necktie is the one variable that give men a chance to experiment with color and style in business and formalwear.  GearCrave’s new friends at Vittorio J know this, and have created a signature line of ties for men who treat this form of expression seriously.

Fortunately for us, the designer behind Vittorio J is also a GearCrave reader.  Designer Jesse Chao reached out to GearCrave to offer a giveaway to GearCrave readers.  If you, like us, could always use another necktie in our collection, continue reading to learn more about the line, where to buy and how you can win one of your very own…

Buy: from $110

The Vittorio J neckties combine classic, conservative necktie design elements with some forward reaching colors and patterns.  You’ll find traditional paisley, familiar stripe patterns amongst fresh designs that push the envelope on their own.  Designs like the six-fold Parker necktie employ a traditional paisley pattern, but they feel fresh, new and vibrant.  On the opposite end, the Jules necktie is instantly avant-garde, bright-pink in color with scripted ribbon-like details.  To really get an idea of the full range of Vittorio J neckties, you certainly need to take a look yourself…

You know, there are three types of ties… solid ties, striped ties, and ties that prevent you from getting promoted.

I”ll take a Parker. Good thing I work for myself.

I’ve never seen ties displayed in a tree before. That doesn’t make them look “better” or more “stylish” to me. Any idea why they did that?
I really like the pink ties. Cool designs.
