Who knew your Treo would become a gateway to the film festival circuit? When the judging panel includes Penn and Teller, who wouldn’t be tempted to create an entry? The Treo Film Festival has announced its winners for 2007, including Maya Dalinsky’s crazy “Who Turned On The Anti-Gravity Machine?” The most fascinating thing about the Treo Film Festival are the guidelines, which emphasize movies made”created specifically for the smaller screens of mobile devices instead of theaters, the web, or TV.” Could this be the start of a lucrative new outlet for the next generation of budding Kevin Smiths out there? It’s only a matter of time before somebody figures out a way to monetize this . . . hear that? It’s the sound of the bandwagon rolling by. Care to jump on?
