Ready the stage lighting, the fog machine and make room in the living room, for today Harmonix announced Rock Band 2: The Opening Act. This upgrade includes both a software and hardware facelift, with new songs and in-game functionality promising an even more awesome rock and roll experience. Rock Band’s instruments look even more realistic (and are noteably quieter), the new Fender Strat features some serious-looking wood grain detail. Also, Rock Band has opened itself up to third party hardware, allowing for other manufacturers to make gear for this great game.
