The Lone Survivor is not a book you want to pass by in the bookstore. It’s the eyewitness account of Operation Redwing and the lost heros of SEAL Team 10. The author, Marcus Luttrell, goes into Afghanistan with his SEAL Team and ends up being the only soldier to make it out alive. The 6-foot-5 rancher’s son gives great background information leading up to Operation Redwing, making the reader feel as if he/she was part of his SEAL team. It was rated by Amazon as one of the best books of 2007, and was a #1 New York Times best-seller.
