Toshiba announces an environmentally-friendly line of appliances, light bulbs, vacuum cleaners, and refrigerators designed specifically to help people live an enviromentally-friendly lifestyle, “without making a concious effort” according to the Toshiba press release for its new line of Eco Style White appliances. “Addressing environmental issues is not a trend, it’s a mission now,” said Chikahiro Yokota, Toshiba’s senior managing executive officer in charge of Toshiba Consumer Marketing.”

Basically we’re going to be eco-friendly from now on, good intentions or not if Toshiba has its way. The press release says the Eco Style line is “Assured as main products.” No word on when these will hit the market. Or are we already saving the earth and we just don’t know it?
