Earlier this summer, we covered the original Philippe Starck Gun Lamp in gold to quite a dramatic response from our readers and the blogosphere alike. Recently, we spotted an update to the gun lamp collection on panik-design. The newer silver versions of the Philippe Starck Gun Lamp collection include the beretta bedside lamp, the AK47 table lamp and the M16 floor lamp. Intruders will think twice before cracking their way into your home. Nothing says “i like guns” quite like a collection of lamps inspired by violence. Then again, those would-be intruders would be wise to grab these… they’re not cheap! [from $1400 at panik-design]

Nothing says “i like guns” quite like a collection of lamps inspired by violence. Guns are not violent people are, this is like blaming cars for drunk drivers.

if it wasnt for violence we wouldnt have guns. i think its pretty fair to say they’re inspired by violence. also guns incite violence. and wtf are you talking about the media for??
