Green Condos: Urban Green Condos (Brooklyn, NY)
The Background
The name definitely says it all: Urban Green Condos. Imagine a bustling, boutique-style condo smack dab in the center of the hipster ‘hood of Williamsburg in Brooklyn - all with a heavy emphasis on keepin’ it green. With just 44 units total, UGC is looking for a very specific clientele: one that wants a highly green lifestyle without skimping on any amenities. Continue reading to learn more…
The Green
The two buildings at UGC are centered around an “urban greenspace” resembling a small city park… in Japan. Picturesque bamboo gardens and water features will be your home. Prospect Park, this ain’t. The lobby is largely illuminated by glass walls, eliminating the need for overhead lighting and lamps. Bathrooms come standard with Eco-Terr floor tiles made from recycled marble, granite, fly ash and glass. Low-E glass and Energy Star appliances are around every corner.
The Stuff
The penthouse views soar over Brooklyn and neighboring Manhattan. Walnut wood floors also come standard, giving each living space a clean, crisp look not usually found in Williamsburg’s heavily renovated streets and buildings. Double stone counter tops are the prized quality of the kitchens, paired with flat-panel cabinetry. Not to mention the amazing rooftop terrace, where residents will gather for cocktails, socializing and sunsets.
The Info
Floor plans start at 565 sq. ft. and top off at 1,732 sq. ft. in the Penthouse B model. Prices range from $400,000 to over $1.5 million. The community’s website, www.urbangreencondos.com, keeps an up-to-date listing of available units.
