Lip Mythic Jump Hour Watch

April 22nd, 2008 · 1 Comment

lip mythic jump hour

A 150 year tradition in French watches is now ready for wrists in the United States. Lip Watches earned its place in the French modern revivalist movement with designs by Roger Tallon, an influential designer of everything from speed trains to modern furniture. Where Lip’s timepieces peaked in the 60s and 70s, they’ve updated their vintage designs with modern styling and technology well fitted for the wrists of today. The Mythic Jump Hour watch is our personal favorite of the new Lip collection. The jump hour style is rare on its own, and Lip perfected it here with a naked display of its rotary meters and a raised time marker.  This isn’t just a watch, its a conversation piece on your wrist.  Museum quality and as rare as it gets…

Diesel Watch: DZ7091

Diesel dz7091 watch

In the last decade, the trend in the wristwatch world has been growing bigger, bolder, and more involved. While much of this is right up our alley here at GearCrave, Diesel’s new DZ7091 wristwatch is a timely departure from what is becoming standard. The DZ7091 features a gorgeous, slender metallic timepiece with a silver leather band. The digital LED display shown above appears on a naked mirror faceplate when evoked by the push of a button. We salute Diesel for this fresh new design, a reflective take on minimal futurism.

There’s more to come, GearCravers. The DZ7091 was one of our favorites from Diesel’s new Basel 2008 collection… which we’ll be sharing with you over the next week. Check back for more previews of Diesel’s vivid new timepieces.

Hamilton Code Breaker Watch

hamilton code breaker watch

Hamilton’s Code Breaker watch is the ideal wrist-wear timepiece for the gritty heroes of post modern, distopian science fiction.  If Blade Runner’s Lieutenant Deckard would have seen this watch, it would have been on his wrist in a replicant’s heartbeat.  The Code Breaker wristwatch is a riveted titanium beast with all the whirring analog glory a blade runner could ever dream of.  The design of this watch isn’t the only thing a little futuristic– so is the price.  For those who can get their hands on this Hamilton special edition, you’re making one hell of a sci fi statement…

Bell & Ross Instrument Minuteur Tourbillon

April 2nd, 2008 · No Comments

Bell & Ross do it again with this excellent, high-style design. The hands are easy enough to figure out once you’ve stared at it for a moment–hours, minutes, seconds plus a power reserve meter combine to make this complex timepiece stand out. Most people don’t pay attention to what’s strapped to your wrist, but this definitely warrants a second look. The all-business design of the square watch body, combined with the subdued color scheme equal “must-own”. [Josh Spear]

Fender doesn’t only make guitars. They also offer stuff to wear so you can look the part when you’re on stage or waiting your turn on the latest Guitar Hero competition. This Fender Crossbones Watch is just the thing, Available in black leather or white, though the black leather version is increasingly hard to find in stock. Your next guitar solo will look MUCH cooler with one of these strapped on your arm. Even if you’re just doing air guitar while Frank Zappa sings those immortal words, ” Here I am…rock you like a nincompoop.”
