Okay, we’re going to need you to be a little more active than usual in reading this post. Take your right hand off the mouse and lift it up. We’re not kidding. The “modular” buzz word always gets our gearlust going… When it comes to golf, the only thing “modular” about our game is which emotion we wish to attach to our game on the fairway. Not anymore, says Calloway Golf. Their I-Mix line of drivers is a modular club system which allows the golfer to exchange clubheads and shafts from a wide variety of choices. The idea behind the I-Mix line is the tinkering, adjusting and personalizing that pros do to their clubs to get the right performance. With this line, golfers can have a few different shafts and clubheads and mix-and-match to fit the environment. While much of golf’s recent developments in technology have been solely design/marketing related, this is a genuine step forward for pro and amateur golfers a like.
