You may have seen this one covered around the blogosphere– and with good reason. Maestro Dobel Diamond Tequila is one of the finest tequilas we’ve ever tasted, competing with craft liquors and cocktails that never make it out of the VIP section. Why are we a bit late to cover this? Quite frankly– were were drunk. The good people at Maestro Dobel were kind enough to send GearCrave a complimentary bottle of their Diamond Tequila, a bottle which we have enjoyed quite thoroughly. This blended Diamond tequila includes aged Reposado, Anejo and Extra Anejo, coming together for a crisp, clear and complex flavor experience. We tried it neat, on the rocks and in a few too many margaritas (tastes excellent with Grand Marnier) with fresh lime. We’re no stranger to good tequila, we enjoy our Patron Silver over ice. After getting to know Maestro Dobel, however, we’ve found ourselves a new top shelf favorite…

Soul Calibur IV was released in late July to raving reviews from gaming media. The fourth installment in the Soul Calibur series included new characters, guest appearances from the Star Wars galaxy and finally an online component allowing players to face off on the web. Beyond the normal Soul Calibur realm, Darth Vader, Yoda and a secret apprentice appear as fully playable characters which compete in the Soul Calibur IV arena.
GearCrave has teamed up with the video game music remix community OverClocked Remix to give away 5 free copies of Soul Calibur IV to our collective readers. This marks the third time Bell’s Brewing Company has earned a slot in GearCrave’s Beer of the Week column. Having covered Bell’s Oberon and Third Coast Ale before, we bring to you Bell’s Lager of the Lakes beer in celebration of some good news for Chicagoans. Bell’s Brewing Company will once again be shipping to the great State of Illinois, as well as likely opening up their distribution to other states in the future. The Lager of the Lakes beer is a standard, malty lager with a grainy aroma and a smooth, bittery and spicy taste. If you’re a Chicago area GearCraver, we suggest heading out to Sam’s or Binny’s and picking up a six pack of Bell’s Oberon or this great Lager Beer, shown above. Cheers!
