ps3 motorstorm

Black Friday approcheth! The first official shopping day of the Holiday Season(tm) is going to be insane, a mob-rules shoving match of epic proportions. Cravers, don’t leave the house on Friday. Instead, get your holiday shopping done online and avoid the traffic, the screaming kids, the madness. Oh, and while you are buying for everyone else on your gift-giving list, pick up the PlayStation3 80GB Motorstorm bundle for yourself. The PS3 console is ethernet-ready, rigged for HDMI, and has an Nvidia graphics processor. The PS3 is backwards compatible with most of the older games, and MotorStorm? Let’s just say it’s a hell of a lot more fun than fighting holiday shopping traffic. Three cheers for vehicular mayhem! Dust off your old Ministry CDs, pop in “Jesus Built My Hotrod”, and fire up MotorStorm. Can’t you feel the adrenaline already?

The Most Controversial Game of the Year: Manhunt 2 Now Shipping

Thursday, November 1, 2007 5:15AM - By J. Wallace

This one’s banned in the UK, so it MUST be great. Rockstar Games had to bust ass night and day to tone this game down to an “M” rating, as it was squarely in Adults Only (AO) territory before. Rest assured, the content of Manhunt2 is still brutal enough to bring screams of terror from candy-assed protesters scared of anything edgy. The original Manhunt’s sicko storyline involved a whack-job who liked to watch the intrepid hero murder gang members, solve icky puzzles, and basically predict the Saw franchise (more or less). This version’s plot isn’t exactly a sequel, but you still have to be really effin’ quiet and dispatch the creeps with anything you can get your hands on. The murder weapons available in this game are causing quite a stir, and you’ll never look at a fuse box or toilet in the same way ever again.

The SplitFish FragFX for PS3

Wednesday, October 24, 2007 8:46AM - By Mike Payne

fragfx

As a PC Gamer, I’ve always kind of scoffed at consoles. The precision that mouse control provides in FPS and even third-person view games is unmatched by any other controller. Every time I’ve tried to play a first-person war game on Xbox360 or PS3, I feel little more than frustration. The inability to drop my crosshairs exactly where I want them drives me mad. Sure, I assimilate, like every God(of War)-fearing gamer out there. But still, my heart remains with PC games, where I can truly draw a bead on whatever moving target I can see with my eye or my scope… Enter SplitFish’s extraordinary FragFX controller. This brings the precision control of a mouse to the console environment, with controls optimized for PS3 games. So when I sit down to play Assassin’s Creed, you can bet your ass I’ll be hitting my marks right where I want them…

iPod Karaoke?!

Friday, October 19, 2007 8:31AM - By J. Wallace

iKaraoke

It was bound to happen eventually. iKaraoke strips the lead vocals off any track in your iPod collection and sends it to any FM reciever, wired or wirelessly-your choice. Your next post-party gossip will be rife with stories of your friends making drunken fools of themselves trying to rap like 50, growling like the Deathklok, or (horrors) caterwauling like that guy from The Darkness. This little gadget by Griffin is small enough to fit in your pocket, and has blackmail YouTube video potential like no other device to hit the shelves since the home version of Dance Dance Revolution. Here’s a hint: don’t break this out right away. Let your pals get a few beers in them first, then let ‘er rip. Grab some video with your cell phone camera . . . you know what to do next.
