California manufacturer Green Vehicles is touting its two-passenger Triac as not only earth-friendly, but easy on the wallet as well. Built to cruise HOV lanes with a single occupant, it can plug into a special 240-volt socket for quick charges or a standard 120-volt for an overnight zap. What is the economic impact, you ask? Your total bill for an overnight charge would be less than a buck, which translates into an operating cost of about two cents a mile.
