Green car fanatics patiently awaiting the Chevy Volt, Tesla Roaster or the Fisker Karma can add another lustworthy ‘lectric to their list. U.K.-based Liberty Electric Cars, Ltd. has invested $30 million into a new business promising tens of thousands of converted Range Rovers and other SUVs that can run up to 200 miles on electricity alone. Like other luxury electrics and hybrids, the Liberty Range Rovers carry a hefty price tag– between $187,000 to $246,000 a pop. Where your standard Range Rover will start at $78,000, you’re spending one hell of a pretty penny for that electric capability. If you’ve got the coin, however, why not?     Chevy Volt, Tesla Roaster or the Fisker Karma, Electric Range Rover. Talk about covering all the pricing spectrum. Being that I do have lots of change but not enough cash, I will stick with the Volt.
