Kawasaki presents the 2008 Ninja 500R, with a twin-cylinder, liquid cooled 498cc engine and digital ignition. This bike is described as an excellent Ninja for newbies, but Kawasaki says experienced riders will appreciate the 550R’s performance “at the upper end of its rev range”. Kawasaki also says this bike has handling similar to bigger bikes in the series thanks to the UNI-TRAK rear suspension system, with “a progressive linkage similar to the larger-displacement Ninja models.” This is recommended for twisty roads, but can your reflexes match the adrenaline rush? Better ease into those curves if you’re a newcomer, but you can definitely take them with the 500R.
