Chrysler recently announced their uCONNECT web system which basically transforms any 2009 model year vehicle into a rolling WiFi hotspot. The hardware system consists of a WiFi router with a 3g cellular modem inside. They will be offering the system as a dealer-installed option starting this month. It will originally be only for 2009 model year vehicles with earlier year models eventually being added. The system will cost 500 dollars as installed and the monthly service will run you about 29.00 dollars a month.
