Martin, Aston Martin. The new 2009 Aston Martin DBS defines what performance luxury should mean for an automobile. The styling is sleek, aggressive and elegant– while the engine that powers it growls beneath. The DBS packs a 510 hp, 6.0 liter V-12 engine, pushing 0-60 in 4.3 and a top speed of 191mph. While the engine is hand-built in Germany, the rest of the DBS is hand-assembled in the UK. Since 1963, when the Aston Martin DB5 shared the screen with James Bond himself, Aston Martin has continued its mark of rich, refined cool to the modern day. This latest model has our proverbial engines running…

The ads (You probably remember them from the ’90s) are classic beyond comparison– like the brand, the definition of cool before it’s cool. The logo, no joke, deserves mention with the greatest designs in fashion history; Gucci, Chanel, YSL, Ralph Lauren and the like included. And, the t-shirts–ill as they come. After 27 years, Stussy is still the freshest, most broad streetwear brand on the planet. Surf, skate, rap, ska, punk, new wave, beach– no brand has captured the essence of these subcultures more precisely. More importantly, Stussy was able to pinpoint the aesthetic and philosophical links between all of them, chain ‘em together and throw ‘em in the blender. In 1980, founder Shawn Stussy, a local board shaper in Long Beach, started putting his logo on t-shirts, and the rest is history. Now, from London to Paris to Tokyo to L.A. to N.Y., Stussy has cache everywhere. It’ s emblematic of why American subculture is still the worldwide arbiter of cool.

We must admit, we’re totally addicted to TheSmokingGun.com– we love mugshots, whether they’re about celebrites, musicians, athletes, or even your average joe (or jane). We’d like to take that experience away from TheSmokingGun’s website and make it a little more accessible, like on our coffee table. Thanks to George Seminara, celebrity mug shots can adorn your living room or restroom for the max enjoyment of you and your guests. As you can see by the cover, this book is star-studded. Keanu, OJ, Mickey, Larry King and more fill these pages. While we do enjoy our celebrities, we really enjoy them when they’ve been very bad. Shame on you, Hugh Grant. At least it wasn’t a dude in drag, like our boy Eddie Murphy…

We’ve covered CyberOptix ties a few times here on GearCrave, and we must say we’ve yet to find a better designer. They’re at the peak of their game, designing some amazing ties that add the perfect focus to any formal wardrobe. Our latest favorite is the Cut Throat Tie. A little ironic, seeing as you’re going to fasten this one around your neck. But the design speaks volumes. This is yet another great pattern from CyberOptix, and we’ve got to get this one around our neck.

“It is strange place, Liberty City. It sometime remind me of back home, in some places. But this American Dream is alive in very ugly ways, yet I am fixed to it as much as the next thug.” We’d hardly call Niko Bellic a thug. The star of Grand Theft Auto IV is a smart, humble, no-nonsense guy with a surprising touch of heart. While Niko does carry a heavy history, his wisdom and optimism carry him through a bold, new world of glitz, glamour, crime and punishment. For those who have spent some time with GTA IV, Niko is instantly engaging and fun. GearCrave sat down with Niko Bellic for a one-on-one interview to discuss his new life in the streets and alleys of Liberty City.
