For some of us, the mantra lately has been “blizzards and booze”. This winter has been one of the ugliest on record for much of the country. Who wants to venture out to the gym, let alone out on the bike, when there’s five inches of snow coming down and more on the way? Cabin fever isn’t the only side effect this year’s rotten weather and soon it will be time to face the music. Are you ready for your warm-weather clothes? If those jeans you got last Christmas are feeling more like spandex than denim, try the GearCrave waist therapy treatment and make an early attack on that winter weight we’re all in denial about. This plan should be a huge help til the weather gets good enough to go back to the gym on a regular basis.

Fearless Yachts are so confident in their sleek, futuristic watercraft designs they name them only according to length. The due-out-later-this-year Fearless 68 pictured above is actually a 67-footer with nine inches to spare, but we love round numbers so we don’t quibble over the name. The 1,500 horsepower engines, 58,000 pound-plus displacement and Rolls Royce A45 water jet drives won’t turn a land-lubber’s head, but a cruising speed of 44 knots combined with a range just shy of 350 miles just might. We definitely want a ride on one, and we’re dying to see the 150-footer due out in 2010.

The Wine Enthusiast Wine Cellar Cube is a tasteful mahogany brown and holds up to 24 bottles. This design is great because it is made to be stackable. As your wine collection expands, just add another cube to the mix. The display method pictured above is a great addition to an open living room, but these cubes also look great against a wall that could use a bit of livening up, or even in a kitchen area. Just make sure to keep your bottles away from heat sources for maximum enjoyment of all those great wines.

Every Thursday, GearCrave shares a website or web service that we believe our readers would find useful and intriguing. Last week, we talked about the organizational wonder that is Vitalist.com. Today, we’d like to share the under-appreciated gem that is eHow.com. Want to learn how to do just about anything? Want to learn how to change your windshield wipers, exercise your guitar fingering, find the G spot or euthanize your neighbors cat? The answers are at eHow.com. eHow is a community of expert members and eHow expert staff who put together written articles, resources, and plenty of great video content. So if you find yourself typing “how to” following by, well, anything in the google search bar, give eHow a shot the next time around. You shouldn’t be surprised to find precisely what you’re looking for.

The Ooma VOIP hub offers what Skype can’t–free landline and Internet calling. No fees, no subscriptions, no messing about with what numbers you can call free and which ones you can’t. Plus it’s stylish and looks like something off the set of Moonraker. This is what they would have phoned Roger Moore with after he blew up the secret space station, except Ooma only does free international and local calling–outer space isn’t part of the package.
