EcoBee Eco-friendly thermostat now available

We first told you about the Ecobee back in October of last year- and now the Eco-friendly thermostat is officially available for purchase. The $400 device adjusts the temperature in your home based on your home’s climate and the temperature outside, monitors your energy use (so you can see when you’re using the most energy), and allows you to access it remotely. The web connection thing is really the coolest part of the device, and the ability to control your thermostat remotely has infinite advantages. You could start cooling your home if it gets hot during the day, or turn off the heat when it’s warm outside, but not have to overuse it one way or the other.  The company claims the device will pay for itself in a year or less, a claim which we tend to agree with.
