New Car Key to Block Cellphone Usage While Driving

Some really smart engineers at the University of Utah came up with an ingenious solution to prevent people from using their mobile phones while driving. They have designed a wireless car key that blocks cellphone usage when extended. All keys are customized for each user and handset, preventing the driver from either taking/placing calls or composing text messages while behind the wheel. If they manage to take it commercial in six months, as announced, the roads might be just a bit safer. At least you don’t have to worry about some fast-texting 16-year-old OMG-ing about the new Britney album… [via SlipperyBrick]
