Freshness Labels to Prevent Bad Food From Being Sold

freshlabel Freshness Labels to Prevent Bad Food From Being Sold

With all that altered meat and milk these days, food safety is a very big concern to one’s health. This is why designer Naoki Hirota thought of coming up with these temporal labels that change color to reflect the freshness of the package. Using a non-toxic, safe pigment ink, the white labels change blue when in touch with ammonia — alerting the buyer of bad meat. Though I don’t think many stores will want to use these freshness labels, they look like a healthy step toward preventing bad food being sold. [via Yanko]
