Mercedes-Bens intros SPLITVIEW COMAND displays for S-Class vehicles

Mercedes-Benz has introduced a new SPLITVIEW COMAND display for their S-Class vehicles. The new display will allow the driver and the passenger to watch two different programs (and by programs we hope the driver is just watching something like a GPS).

The 8-inch display will show two different pictures simultaneously. The driver and passenger are able to see two different images thanks to pixel placement (pretty snazzy). Pixels for the two images are placed adjacent to each other and then a filter masking the display divides the image depending on where it’s intended viewer is seated.
