Futuristic Rovio and Minoru Robots

Designed to make our lives simpler, we really like to believe that robots are not going to take over the world and destroy us as they evolve (or steal our acting jobs). Two futuristic specimens of robotics designed to help us live with ease are Rovio and Minoru. Unveiled at CES 2008, Rovio is a sentry robot that sells for $300 and guards your home using room beacons and infra-red cams to survey the area. It also packs Wi-Fi if you need him to put the images online. On the other hand, even though it looks like a robot, Minoru is actually a 3D webcam that sells for $90 and promises a great 3D experience while using the Internet. They both look pretty cool.
