2010 chevrolet volt msp1 Its Official: The 2011 Chevrolet Volt

You’re looking at the greatest development in the fight for energy independence in recent history.  Just yesterday, Chevrolet officially revealed the 2011 Chevrolet Volt.  While you have heard about it for years, seen the concept photos and perused the press leaks, this supercar is now official.  In fact, you’ve likely read the details about the Chevy Volt elsewhere– that you can drive for up to 40 miles without using a single ounce of gasoline.  After the battery is expended, its internal combustion engine kicks on and can carry you for several hundred miles further.  What has not been widely covered is the fact that the Volt’s internal combustion engine is flex-fuel capable, meaning that you can run it on E85 ethanol instead of gasoline.  So let’s put it all together– the Volt is a domestic car, it is more efficient than a Prius, and you don’t have to run it on gasoline. Drive a Volt, you’re officially giving a big middle finger to those assholes that run OPEC.

[Oh, and also-- it might be a good idea to buy some stock in GM.  Its cheap right now, and this car could single-handedly turn that company's fortunes...]
