Shelby Supercars Ultimate Aero EV

SSC’s Ultimate Aero TT is the fastest production car in the world. It speeds to 60 from zero in 2.78 seconds on its way to a top speed of 257 mph. What excites us even more is that Shelby’s forthcoming version of the Aero promises to put up similar numbers– without a drop of gasoline. The Shelby Supercars Ultimate Aero EV will run on two 500hp electric motors from a source of electricity that rarely needs a re-charge. While there is not much information about the power source or the actual performance numbers, if it share the same name with the Ultimate Aero TT, we’re ready to expect something very similar… [thanks Jalopnik]
