I bought a tropical 17 acre island in Africa. I packed my tent and spent a few nights there. The island is undeveloped, it has only seen fishermen. The mainland is 8 km from the Island, you look in all directions and the only thing you see is the turquoise sea around you. Bliss! Now I should start looking for investors to develop this into a living space! Although I live only a stone through from the lapping high tide of the sea, and once in a month a tourist pass by on the beach (I get disillusioned by thinking it is my beach), the serenity of the Island is something else! If you can afford purchasing your own private island, don't think twice!

I think of owning your own island as kind of a second chance. I mean think of everytime you've heard the term, "bring only the neccesities." To live on a island would be kinda like forgetting all the drama and bull of your old life thats not really a neccesity to living. I mean it really is a moment to refine yourself not just as a property owner but as a person. Sure you can live like an ape, or you can bring more wealth to make it more like a home. But really you're making it according to who are. And Honestly I find that thrilling in itself. Its a rebirth. And without all the shape and molding of the government or other people, that tell you you have to be this way or that way to succeed or to be socially accepted, or just to live. I think it'd be nice to get away start over, build your own legacy. Shape Yourself

I've thought about it and if for some reason I ever suddenly had alot of loot that meant I didn't have to work for the rest of my life, I could easily see living in the Caribbean as being an option, but living ALONE in such a beautiful place when you could live in a beautiful place and pay a bunch of beautiful island girls to be around you all day... I'll choose the latter. It's all a dream.. which I bet many people have - Get rich, move the hell out of the USA, and retire at age 40.

"pre-approved" haha you must be an American. Absurd article. Don't fill the other bloggers heads full of ideas that they'll turn their adsense dollars into an island. IT IS the reserve of the ultra wealthy.
